This photo shows the first part of my commute to work from where we lived in Sedona, Arizona to James Turrell's shop & home called Back O'Beyond. Here, I forded Oak Creek when the weather permitted. Cathedral Rock is in the background.
From there, I headed to Roden Crater, a 70+ mile one-way trip.
I was always on the watch for hard rains that would turn the mild creeks into raging and dangerous rivers or winter snows that could cause the commute to become very challenging and sometimes impossible.
